Hoax bomb calls have become a daily newsmaker these days. And as terrorism tends to pervade different parts of the world, such types of news are a definite. Groups like Al-Qaeda have issued their hit lists and the top businessmen, leaders, bollywood stars, sports stars and many politicians dot the list. Even yesterday, some one made a hoax call that there is a bomb in bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu residence Jalsa. However, after investigation and search no such material was found and the police declared it as a mere hoax call.

After the police got the news of an explosive material in Mr Bachachan’s residence, a group of security and police officials and sniffer dogs of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad looked every nook and corner of the film star’s residence. Luckily, no subversive substance was found during the hour-long search.
Police are trying to get to the person who made the hoax call. Several such cases have been reported in the country for some time now. Few months back, some one mischievously mailed that the Rashtrapati Bhavan contains explosive material, and at one time some one wrote a letter to the Delhi Police that the Parliament contained a bomb. However, in both cases it was merely a fake call. But, such type of hoax phone calls, mails and letters keep the police on their tenterhooks, trying their best to evade any untoward incident, which might turn into a catastrophe.
